Major makeover for Trail des Sangliers

The Trail des Sangliers is taking a completely new direction in 2027. The Grand Raid is disappearing from the program and making way for a real trail weekend with two competition days, renewed courses, and plenty of new trails.

With seven different distances, from 13 to 75 km, there is a challenge for every level. But those who want to get the most out of their weekend can choose the Sangliers 30 or Sangliers 50 for the first time in 2027: two trails, two unique courses, one weekend.

Two days. Two completely different trails. One challenge.

The Sangliers 30 and Sangliers 50 allow you to discover two completely different sides of the region in a single weekend.

On Saturday you head south. Here, the rougher work awaits: adventurous trails, technical passages, and above all, lots of singletrack. A course where the pure trail feeling takes center stage.

On Sunday, the scenery changes completely. Then you head towards Borzée and Samrée, where the brutal Ardennes slopes define the course. Tough climbs and descents make for a totally different challenge — especially with Saturday's kilometers still in your legs.

If you choose the Sangliers 30, you run 13 km on Saturday and 17 km on Sunday: a total of 30 kilometers across two unique courses.

Looking for a bigger challenge? Then go for the Sangliers 50: 25 km on Saturday and 27 km on Sunday. Two days of trail running, totaling over 50 kilometers and a healthy dose of elevation gain.

After the weekend, your Saturday and Sunday times are combined into one final result and one ranking per challenge.

Not the same trail twice, but two days with a completely different character. That is the Sangliers Challenge.

Saturday: Wild & Technical and Sunday: Steep & Brutal
